Standing with Standing Rock: "Ayoyotes on the Ground"
People gathered at the U.S./Mexico border fence at Anapra and Sunland Park on January 29, 2011 to stand in solidarity against violence, raise awareness and demand justice from both governments. More than 3,000 people were murdered in Ciudad Juarez in 2010, many more disappeared and citizens fear for their lives due to heightened violence in the border zone.
El Paso's "Chicano Park" is located under the Spaghetti Bowl Interchange. Resident's homes were destroyed to make room for the massive freeway project, but the community lives and people continue to dance, celebrate and create art under it. ¡Que Viva Lincoln Park!
